A person’s skin is one of the most sensitive parts of our body. It is very important because it protects us from sickness and infections. If taken cared of properly, our skin helps us from developing rashes, acnes, wrinkles and other types of skin problems.

So, washing the skin often is widely recommended for this skin type. A person has to avoid scrubbing his/her face and use warm water in washing. One may use alcohol-free, hydrating toner to help remove dirt.

 

A person with a normal skin type is said to be luckier and has a healthy glow. The skin is not oily and is not dry at the same time. Persons with this skin type are advised to use beauty products that could maintain the skin’s natural glow.

 

A sensitive type of skin, from the word “sensitive” itself, has the most delicate skin. It is prone to allergies, rashes, redness, pimples and other skin problems. A person with sensitive skin has also allergic reactions to many beauty products and is usually sensitive to the sun, wind and cold weather. It is recommended to use fragrant-free and hypoallergenic moisturizers and toners for this skin type. It is also advisable to look for beauty products that contain calamine, rosemary, thyme, aloe Vera and etc.

 

Lastly, a combination skin has areas that are oily and areas that are dry. There is what we call as the T-zone. That is, the forehead, the nose and the chin are sections that are oilier while the cheeks are less oily. A person has to identify the parts of his face that are oily and the parts that are dry so he/she will know what products best suit to a particular area of his/her face.

 

Once a person has already identified the type of skin he has, he may now follow some of the tips listed here to maintain a good and healthy skin. He may now start to buy skin products that best suit his/her skin. It is also recommended to see a doctor for medical advice to avoid skin irritations, allergies or whatsoever, later on due to the misuse of a particular skin product. A person has to observe a proper and balanced diet also in order to maintain a good skin. He/she has to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water for these will help him/her maintain a fresher look and a nice skin. Frequent washing of face is best recommended for this will take away the dirt’s in one’s skin. Use germicidal soap or mild soap with warm water. Avoid scrubbing your face for it might irritate your face and gently massage your face in a circular motion. If ever you have an acne or pimple, never pop it for it might cause infections to your skin, instead, leave it as it is for it will just gradually subside. If it takes longer in your face, you may consult a dermatologist for its remedy. Also, never expose your skin to too much heat of the sun. To avoid skin damage, it is advisable to use sunscreen and reapply every after 3 to 4 hours. When you are applying make up on your face, do not forget to remove it before going to sleep.
